Feeling Better

Well, I'm starting to feel better now, I guess I'll live. I swear I have not felt that bad in years, it was horrible.

I'm have problems with my 16 year old daughter right now, she is going with this boy that is so no good. He has warped her mind. I don't know what to do anymore. I found a note that he wrote her talking bad about me...I asked her how long was she going to let her talk like that about me.

I always have heard that you pay for your raising but I honestly don't remember being this bad. I don't know if I can or will live through this.

    Afghans

Did you know the "afghan" originated with the early American settlers who first bought "Afghanistan Blankets" from European trading ships; then later crocheted their own with scraps of left over yarn from knitting....

    Hello Everyone

Well I got about 9 squares out of 50 done for my afghan today. It's to the point where I don't have to look at the pattern anymore. Once I get finished with the 50 star squares (one for each state) then I have to crochet 18 scallop motifts for the outside eage.

I just got through watching Reba on Lifetime channel, I love Reba!!! Now there is a good movie coming on, I love to crochet and watch a good movie. I can really get into my crocheting and the movie too. Lifetime is my all time favorite TV channel.

    50 Stars Afghan

Here is a square of the new afghan that I started today. It's called 50 Stars Afghan, I found it in one of my old Crochet World magazine. I have been wanting to crochet this one for a long time. It's a good take along project too.

    My First Knitted Sweater

Ok, here goes again, I am going to try a knit my first sweater. I have been wanting to do this for about a year now. But this time I am more determined then even. There are so many pretty sweaters on Ravelry that I just have to learn.

I am going to be knitting the sweater "Classic Crew Neck" from the book "1000 Sweaters, mix and match patterns for the perfect sweater. Has anyone else knitted any sweater from this book yet?

My plan is to post on here every night about the progress that I am making on it, also all my thought on knitting this sweater....the good, the bad and the ugly, lol

I cast on this afternoon and this is how far I have gotten on it. I think all my knitting stitches look fine so far.

Can anyone tell me what is the best cast on for sweaters, on this one I used the long tail cast on, is this ok?

I will check back in tomorrow and post more pics of how far along that I have gotten.....
